Our vision is to develop a standalone community cat clinic that makes it possible to develop broad partnerships across the metro that is capable of doing Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) on as many as 10,000 cats a year. We believe this is the volume needed to have a positive and lasting impact on colonies in Kansas City.
To make that a reality, however, it will require both a community-wide commitment and enough funding from grants, other animal welfare organizations, local municipalities and individual donors – as well as long-term support – before that vision is realized.
In the meantime, we are referring community cat caretakers to the Northland Animal Welfare Society (NAWS) and the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, who are both doing community and feral cat surgeries at this time.
We are, however, renting out traps to caretakers looking to get them fixed.
