Keeping Kansas City Strong

The pandemic, of course, made that harder to do. Tough times, though, are when Kansas City really shows what it’s made of … when we all come together.

And Kansas City businesses step up.

Even though many were struggling to keep their doors open (sadly, many didn’t), they still raised their hands and reached out to help PRCKC and other nonprofits in town. That’s why, this year, as part of our fundraising auction – held in place of our annual fundraising Gala – we’re asking community members to visit local stores to purchase items for our auction.

You’ll be helping us continue serving over 25,000 pets each year and putting some much-needed support behind the businesses that help keep Kansas City strong.

The shop local effort is dubbed “Care KC” and PRCKC hopes supporters will shop local, grab photos and post to social media using the hashtag #carekc.

Those wishing to donate items to PRCKC that can be auctioned can drop them off by PRCKC at 1116 E. 59th St., KCMO, 64110, M-F between 11 AM and 3 PM.
