I was born and raised in San Diego as a fifth generation San Diegan, spending my younger days on the beach. My involvement in veterinary medicine started in high school as a volunteer at a small animal practice and it has been my passion ever since.
I graduated from UC Santa Barbara prior to traveling to New Zealand to attend veterinary school at Massey University. I lived in New Zealand for 5 years and it was the most beautiful country and the best decision of my life.
After veterinary school I moved back to California to start a small animal internship at an emergency and specialty hospital in Los Angeles before going into private practice in San Diego for the past five years. Then I moved to Kansas City this year and I love it here.
I have always tried to dedicate some of my time to spay and neuter projects in the past. In veterinary school I would travel to Samoa and Rarotonga and spend 1-2 weeks dividing my time between the small villages. During private practice I would dedicate a Sunday here and there to the feral cat coalition. When I moved to Kansas City I was excited to take to opportunity to focus on helping the community full time.
PRCKC is such a special organization and I am lucky to be a part of an organization that helps so many people and their pets.
In my spare time I enjoy, traveling, hiking, golfing and lounging in the sun. My fur children include two dogs and a cat who thinks he is a dog.
